Company

Our rental business has expanded in parallel with the development of tourism in Alghero, and has seen the participation of three generations of the Salaris family at the helm.

In 1934, Sardinia’s Riviera del Corallo (or ‘Coral Riviera’) could be reached only by the seaplanes of the Aerea Ala Littoria line, which made splash-downs at the seaplane base in the gulf of Porto Conte.

The passengers would then be taken to Alghero and Sassari on board our first Ansaldo, driven by family patriarch Roberto Salaris.

In the 1950s, the military airport at Fertilia was opened up to civil aviation, kick-starting the development of tourism in Alghero, which soon came to be regarded as the ‘Golden Gateway’ (Porta d’Oro) for tourism on the island of Sardinia.

During this period, the business was developed and expanded by Roberto’s son, Felice, who boosted the fleet with twenty new cars for rental by an ever-increasing numbers of customers. Felice also introduced the exclusive rental-with-driver service, which continues to this day and allows the most exacting of customers to be ferried around in style on board our luxury vehicles.

Since 1990, the company has been run by the latest generation of the family, in the form of Roberto and Nino Salaris. In the safe hands of these dynamic and highly professional youngsters, Nolauto Alghero offers services of unrivalled quality for individual customers, corporate clients and tour operators.

Accessibility Information

Together with our selected providers, we are committed to ensuring that our services are accessible to people with disabilities. We devote significant resources to ensure that our website and room booking pages are easier to use and more accessible for individuals with disabilities, based on the strong belief that everyone has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

Along with our partners, we continuously strive to improve the accessibility of our website and the pages for booking rooms and/or purchasing additional products and services related to the stay. We firmly believe it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use, even for those of us with disabilities.

In our ongoing efforts to improve and consistently address accessibility issues, we regularly scan all web pages using accessibility scanners provided by third-party commercial partners to identify and fix any potential accessibility barriers on our site. Despite our efforts to make all our web pages and content fully accessible, some content may not yet have been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be due to not having yet found or implemented the most appropriate technological solution.
